Dog Training

Millie and I went dog training again this evening. It was a full class and lots of the dogs weren't as advanced so we didn't do quite as much as usual. We did send-aways which Millie did well and recalls in pairs and despite being a bit too eager to come, she was good. We did stays and the dog next to Millie in the sit stay kept getting up and looking at her! Millie was very good though and stayed exactly where she was!

This evening I hung a towel over the radiator to dry. Within minutes, Millie had it in her mouth! She wouldn't let go of it! In the end, I put a treat on the floor and put the kettle on, watching Millie out the corner of my eye. When she thought I wasn't looking, she ran under the table and dropped the towel there so it would take me longer to get there and there was a greater chance of me not seeing it, ran to the treat and I just about beat her back to the towel! The plan was very well thought out, I got there a second before her!!

On our walk this afternoon, Millie posed on a log for me so I could take some nice photos!

A Busy Weekend Training!

Millie's done quite a bit of training this weekend. Last night she drew two more beautiful pictures!

This morning we practised rebounds. She's getting a lot better! We then did some disc dog - Millie's amazing! She really leaps to catch the disc! 

I then decided to get the mountain board out, she hasn't been on it for a while! She still did just as well though!

After a short break, we took the scooter to the doctors car park to have a go. We haven't done that for ages! Millie was a very good girl!

She also did some other tricks up there, and posed for another photo for me!

Sepia Saturday - Jumping and an Online Dog Show Win!

Millie and I got the jumps out today and Millie thoroughly enjoyed flying over them!


She had time to pose too!

She even helped me put the jumps away afterwards!

Dog Training

Last Monday Millie and I went dog training. Millie was so desperate to work! I forgot her mark so she used another dogs blanket for the send aways, which she still did very well. We did the 'stop the dog exercise' with Millie coming towards me, and away from me for the first time too. Although she continued to run to the trainer the first time we tried it, the second time she was perfect! We did some heelwork and some stays which she did very well at too.

We had a little bit of snow in the night, so Millie got to play in it on our walk this morning. 

She kept sniffing and got a pile of snow on the end of her nose!

This evening Millie was a naughty girl though, she stole a pork chop out of a bowl on the table!!
